To be eligible for the Beginner/ Advanced Beginner Equitation Final, all riders must
show in their respective equitation division at any VHJA Recognized Show within the current competition year. Before qualifying for and entering a Beginner/Advanced Beginner Final, riders must be either a current VHJA member OR pay a $10 non-member rider

Qualifying for Medal Finals

Each year riders may accumulate points in any of the various Medal classes to qualify to ride in the Medal Final at the Hunter & Equitation Finals show in October. To qualify, a rider must receive 10 points (unless lowered by vote of the Board of Directors) or show in the Medal class at 3 shows. Riders must be members of VHJA in order to compete in a Medal class.

Finals rounds will be run as two rounds designed by the course designer, except in the John Corley Horsemanship Medal and Pony Medal where one jumping phase (50%) and one flat phase (50%) are performed.  Further testing may be assigned at the judge’s discretion of all Medal Finals.

Points assigned per class placing.
