Pony/rider combination may not cross enter into any other jumper class/division where fences exceed 2’6”. To be shown over a course of at least 8 fences 2’-2’3”, no in and out, and spreads not to exceed height. To be scored under Table II. All ties other than first place will be broken by the time taken to complete the course. Not USEF/NEHC rated. Year end award.

411/ 412. SPECIAL WORKING HUNTER PONY O/FENCES:Open to Junior and Adult Amateur riders on ponies. Fence Height 2’-2’3″. No in and out. To be judged on performance and soundness. Not USEF/NEHC rated.

413. SPECIAL WORKING HANDY HUNTER PONY:To be shown over 6-8 fences at VHJA shows at the required height; two or more of the following must be included: trot fence, halt, back, dismount, roll back turn, or hand-gallop (at course designer’s discretion).


474. VHJA 2’6” CHILDREN’S MEDAL:Open to junior riders who have not reached their 18th birthday and are VHJA members. Riders may not cross-enter into any class which exceeds 2’6” at the same show. The same rider/pony combination cannot compete in the Novice Medal but may compete in the VHJA Pony Medal class at the same show or at the Finals in the same year. Riders are also not to cross-enter into the VHJA Junior Medal. All riders are to compete over a course of a minimum of 6 fences at a height not exceed 2’, spread not to exceed height, no in and out. One or more tests required of the top 4-6 riders. USEF Tests 1-8. To be judged using the open numerical scoring system. Not USEF/NEHC rated.


608. PRE-GREEN WORKING HUNTER UNDER SADDLE:Open to all horses/ponies that are in their 1st or 2nd year of showing at recognized shows in classes that require horses/ponies to jump fences not exceeding 3′. Ponies competing in this division will forfeit their Green Pony status. Ponies must be ridden by a junior rider. To be judged on performance and soundness. To be shown at a walk, trot and canter, both ways of the ring. Not USEF rated.

609/ 610.
