VHJA has six committees and several subcommittees as defined by Article V of our Constitution. Each committee is hosted by the President, members of the Board of Directors or others who are appointed by the President. The following lists the committees and subcommittees.
We welcome volunteers, so if you have some time, contact us if you would like to assist with one of these committees or subcommittees:
The Rules Committee: The Rules Committee is divided into three subcommittees: Rules, Grievance Committee and Nominations Committee.
The Competition Committee: The Competition Committee is divided into three subcommittee: Horse Show Committee, Finals Committee, Thoroughbred Futurity and Young Hunter Futurity Committee.
The Communications Committee has no subcommittees but is responsible for the Omnibus, publications, outreach, website and member benefits.
The Education Committee has no subcommittees but is responsible for the College Scholarship, Sarah Hadley Horsemanship Challenge, workshops, lectures and clinics.
The Finance Committee has no subcommittees but is responsible for budget, sponsorship and fundraising.
The Banquet Committee has no subcommittees but is responsible for the banquet, awards, and video.
