New this year! What used to be the Thoroughbred Futurity is now open to ALL horses and ponies who are registered for points with VHJA! Points accumulated in any pointed VHJA hunter or jumper (not equitation) class or division will go towards each nominated Horse/Pony annual total. The horse/pony with the most VHJA total points in all hunter and jumper divisions/classes at the end of the year will be the winner. Nomination is required, and VHJA points will only accumulate AFTER nomination. Horses/Ponies nominated after receiving points in a qualifying VHJA class or division will not have those points count towards their year-end total.
There must be a minimum of two nominations for year-end awards to be presented. Ribbons will be awarded and a small monetary award will be given to the winner at the Annual Banquet.
The nomination fee for 2023 will be $25.00. This fee does not include any entry fees into VHJA divisions or classes. Horses/ponies must be registered with VHJA under a current VHJA owner or rider member to be nominated. Any sex or age is eligible to compete. Riders may be of any age; stallions must be ridden by adults.
